WELCOME to the Princeton Volleyball Club Tryouts 2025-2026

Please follow all the steps and pay online so your registration is complete and accepted for Tryouts.

Girls tryout dates:

 

17's & 18's Age Group Sunday, August 10, 9am-11am

17's & 18's Age Group Monday, August 11, 8pm-10pm

 

16's Age Group Sunday, August 10, 11am-1pm

16's Age Group Monday, August 11, 6pm-8pm

 

15's Age Group Sunday, August 10, 1pm-3pm

15's Age Group Tuesday, August 12, 8pm-10pm

 

14's Age Group Sunday, August 10, 3pm-5pm

14's Age Group Tuesday, August 12, 6pm-8pm

 

12's & 13's Age group Sunday, August 10, 5pm-7pm

 

Level: All levels are welcome

 

Note we have 3 to 4 teams per age group for all levels of play with amazing coaching! Come experience a top club in NJ!

 

BOYS TRYOUT INFORMATION

Wednesday, August 13 & Thursday, August 14 at Princeton Day School (PDS)

14s & 15s & 16s age group at 6pm-8pm

17's &18's age group at 8pm-10pm

 

LOCATION:  Princeton Day School 650 Great Rd, Princeton, NJ 08540.  It is held in the Field House of the Lisa McGraw Skating Rink. Located to the back right of the property in a separate facility than the main school building.

 

Duration: 2 hour sessions.

 

Cost $90 for Girls

 

Cost $50 for Boys

Boys Club SUMMER Prep Academy 2025 

 

Summer Pre-Tryouts Sessions
Registration CLOSES THIS SUNDAY 7/13

Summer is the best time for the boys to prepare for 2025-2026 PVC Club Tryouts in August.

4 week Summer Sessions (7/15 - 8/6) 
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 
Setter/Libero Skills and Offensive Positions

SESSIONS:

1) Grades 7-9 (13’s, 14’s and 15’s) - All positions covered.  6:00pm-7:30pm (1.5 hours)

  • $225 for 8 sessions

  • $140 for 4 sessions

  • $75 for 2 sessions

2) Grades 10-12 (16’s, 17's and 18’s) - All positions covered.  7:30pm-9:30pm (2 hours)

  • $300 for 8 sessions

  • $175 for 4 sessions

  • $95 for2 sessions

What to expect?

  • Front & Back Row Attacking: Learn to be a threat from both the front and back row, maximizing your impact in every rally.

  • Blocking Opposite Hitters: Improve your blocking skills to effectively shut down the opposing hitters.

  • Court Coverage on Offense & Defense: Master positioning when you're not set and know how to support your teammates when on defense.

  • Seamless Transitions: Move efficiently between offense and defense to be ready for the next play.

  • Approach & Jump Techniques: Develop a powerful approach and effective jump for greater height and hitting strength.

  • Expanding Your Hitting Options: Add variety to your game with techniques like tipping, roll shots, and two-handed pushes.

  • Hitting IQ: Understand what shots are available, and choose high-percentage plays for maximum effectiveness.

  • Avoiding Blocks: Learn strategic tips to evade blockers and deliver more successful attacks.

  • Back-Row Defense from Position 6: Strengthen your back-row defense and positioning to confidently handle attacks in the back row.

SUNDAYS

LOCATION: Villa Victoria Academy, 376 W Upper Ferry Rd, Ewing Township, NJ 08628

5 week Summer Sessions at Villa:  $125

1) Skills Instruction and Game Play (Grades 4-8) - for athletes learning and working toward mastery of volleyball skills such as passing, setting, hitting and serving. Sessions meant to provide instruction and skill practice with some incorporation of game play. Stations and drills designed to teach and practice skills and combine skills. Basic game play incorporated.
Sundays at Villa 11am-12:30pm  & 2pm-3:30pm (1st Session's 5 dates: June 8, 15; July 6, 13, 20)  OR  (2nd Session's 5 dates: July 27; Aug 3, 17, 24, 31)

2) Intermediate Skills and Game Play (Grades 6-9) - for athletes who have a mastery of basic skills but looking to apply those skills to game play situations and learn the game of volleyball - focus on transition skills, adding in blocking and floor defense concepts, serve receive. Will still spend significant time on skill improvement and drills with an emphasis on applying that to game play. No refunds for choosing wrong level of play.
Sundays at Villa 12:30pm-2:00pm or 3:30pm-5:00pm  (1st Session's 5 dates: June 8, 15; July 6, 13, 20)  OR  (2nd Session's 5 dates: July 27; Aug 3, 17, 24, 31)

3) Competitive Game Play (Grades 8-12) - for athletes who have participated in team play at the school or club level and are looking for fine tuning skills in the context of game play. Expectation of mastery of basic skills (passing, setting, serving, hitting) and an understanding of game play (rotations, overlap, transition, blocking, serve receive). Should have the ability to execute:
serving, passing, setting and attacking. Some time will be spent on drills based on the coach's observation of the needs of the group or small groups within the group with emphasis on competition and game play. Athletes who are in need of additional instruction will be asked to move to an intermediate session in order to gain the skills necessary to compete. No refunds for choosing wrong level of play. Sundays at Villa 9:30-11am  (1st Session's 5 dates: June 8, 15; July 6, 13, 20)  OR  (2nd Session's 5 dates: July 27; Aug 3, 17, 24, 31)

**After the first couple of sessions coaches reserve the right to recommend movement to the basic or advanced session in order to best instruct each athlete. **

  • Available for boys and girls entering 3rd-12th grade. This camp will teach the basics of volleyball, as well as the most advanced skills and strategies. There are two sessions, one for grades 3-8, the other for grades 9-12.  This is offered to both Girls & Boys.

3. Bucks County Elite Volleyball Camp Click Here

  • Advanced camp for boys and girls entering 3rd-12th grade. Develops player skills and knowledge of the game from a team of elite staff. Works to enhance specific skill sets through video and physical demonstrations. See website for more details! Girls & Boys!
